First Holiday!

Kurtz -

This week we  searched for you in the south, to the land of missions and padres and coyotes. The small chirper is a month old now; high time for a prolonged excursion! The journey started at a disheartening pace, but after taking refuge at Skirball, we proceeded in good time to the judiciary, where the hours-long trip was justified by a minutes-long appearance before the  federal magistrate.

While I scoured the interior, the Lovely One and the chirper searched for the Man at the park and the mall. We were particularly eager to find the Mystery Man on this journey south, if only to congratulate him on the salubrious reports on the brain titleist. Alas, the Man  was not to be found. Perhaps he will understand our sentiments all the same, and understand the respect and joy we have for the brave and fortunate man who came off the conqueror.

The return was a leisurely affair and we stopped at a harbor for fish and chips, the chirper's first.
He dared not sample personally, so we ended up eating for him. As the tale goes, the owner of this establishment gained thirty pounds sampling batters before discovering the perfect flaky crust for his fish. We agreed that he found the perfect recipe.

The journey held other firsts for the chirper: first ship, first train, first bottle collector, and first ice cream cone. He is learning and growing so fast! And after the lessons, a final picture before the long ride home.

Still searching,

- Marlowe.

Retaliation!

Kurtz,

At long last, the taunting of the spectre of the Mystery Man has ceased to starve our greedy eyes. We have a confirmed sighting of the Man, in all his ferocious glory! In an unexpected missive, before he braved death and scalpel, an image designed to intimidate both tumor and me. Mystery Mr. Kurtz, who tinkers with the mind, I retaliate!

Kurtz, the face that stalks you!

Easter was a small affair. We celebrated with a tiny cadbury hunt and scallops. We took shifts to the church, hurrying back to His Majesty to meet his every whim and burp-up. He even deigned to sit for a photo.

Happy Easter!

Lastly, it turns out our tiny newbie is a gourmand of sorts. Last checkup? 9 lbs 4 oz! A gain of 19 oz! A huge increase for such a tiny sort. I think his head looks bigger already. We are so proud of him.

Our Canan

Kurtz -

Ah, our pursuit of your madman and ours has led this tiny band through the midst of tiny travails (pink eye, red throat, black dreams) and into sweet Canaan itself! Although the talents of our resident nurse practitioner has rendered each member as fit as the day he (or she) was born, we've found it necessary to upgrade certain equipment to secure the promises of a land of flowing milk and honey.

No additional license required!

Indeed, a warm calm has descended upon our tiny band as we settle this filial promised land. The new pilgrim has even taken to acquainting himself with the indigenous flora and fauna on his first of many safaris.

 Camouflage, naturally.

The little guy loved it, though admittedly, upon sighting a lone drone bee he immediately hushed and retreated to the safety of his bush conveyance and, upon arriving home, availed himself of every complementary convenience our hut can offer.
