Kurtz,
To begin, I must say that after searching for you for so long at such great price, we were all overjoyed to find you right here that fateful morning. While your visit has not tempered my resolution to discover the man still unknown (his faceless visage consumes me!), I can't help but feel a nestled contentment when I reflect on the eggs benedict and tales we shared on that certain sidestreet. Thank you.
As promised, I have undertaken this field report to memorialize our adventurous sojourn and submit to you as follows:
Last night we paid a visit to the home of the Viceroy for the Royal Society of Science and the Hon. Chairman of the Mathematical and Statistical Sciences for the RSS. The purpose? To recreate a art-deco lego village, nay, a city (her words!), for their new lego train circuit. The city remains unfinished, unfounded really, as we were quickly sucked into the BBC production SHERLOCK
That evening was my introduction to this awesome show and I highly recommend it to you, despite what controversy you may hear
But great as that show is, the crowning glory of the night was the viewing of the most excellent steampunk gift the Viceroy received from his Kiwi Brother: the Righteous Bison.
Details are hazy on the origins and specifications of this marvel, but it looks fantastic hanging in the place of honor in the Viceroy's home. Still Searching,
Marlowe
Marlowe,
ReplyDeleteYour tenacity at last rewarded! It truly was a reunion much anticipated, and your presence filled me with sweet nostalgia (though, laced with hues of sadness – as nostalgia is prone to be - knowing that my time in your company was so short. How I do long to join you living once again in those fair western lands!) While I sensed your disappointment that I was traveling alone, I hope I can assuage you by alerting you of my plans to embark in adventures again during the summer months that will lead me by your current encampment. This time the man will hopefully prove less elusive, if luck is with us.
Since the time of our last communication, I have been passing quite a bit of time with my dear younger brother. He is currently stationed in this city to undergo vigorous training before embarking to Yemen to improve diplomatic relations in that desert country. With so little time before his bittersweet departure (a fortnight!) I feel that I must capitalize on his current proximity before contact becomes markedly more difficult.
In regards to your report, I am much relieved to know that the Royal Society of Science has reconvened. Such a group of distinguished and wise beings I have yet to encounter in all of my travels. It truly must have been a felicitous reunion. As to the Righteous Bison – it certainly is an impressive looking weapon, though as to its function I’m afraid I am quite negligent. I look forward to future information from you to become better acquainted with this fine armament.
Onward,
Kurtz
Agreed. We need more specs on the Righteous Bison and related armaments BEFORE finalizing our parlay protocol. We are not walking into that trap again.

Sometimes I feel like my friends are too smart. How can I keep up?
ReplyDeleteTake notice, Kurtz. Mastermind is rightly named. Trifle at your own peril, the noose is tightening. Fairly warned.
